NEW ADDICTION THERAPY CENTERS OPEN IN BOULDER, DENVER AND VAIL

In response to the current addiction crisis, internationally recognized child, family and community psychiatrist, lecturer and author, Dr. Judith Landau, recently announced the opening of the Colorado Recovery Resource Centers in Boulder, Denver and Vail. Addiction Interventionists in the new centers respond to calls from individuals concerned about an addicted loved one. They work with the caller to involve other members of the family and support network, guiding them to motivate the addicted person into treatment. Landau and her associate, James Garrett, CSW, have been practicing Interventionists for over 30 years.

“Invitational Intervention," the ARISE (Addiction Recovery in Supportive Environment) model, developed by Landau and Garrett 16 years ago, invites the addicted individual to participate in the Intervention throughout the process. There are no secrets, surprises or ambushes, and everyone is treated with deep respect.

"ARISE recognizes the connectedness of each individual to family, friends and larger support network and includes all of them as appropriate in the recovery process. We approach substance abuse, other addictive behavior and behavioral compulsions with a direct, respectful and loving mind-body-spirit relational approach," said Landau.
