Dermatologist and Podiatrist Create Topical Treatment Based on Properties of Superglue Derivative
Most people do not want to risk their lives for their toenails. Traditional topical approaches to nail fungus are largely ineffective, and the oral medications available can cause severe liver problems, leading to liver transplant or death. Two California doctors have partnered to offer an effective topical solution for the treatment of nail fungus (or onychomycosis), a condition that affects over 34 million Americans alone and accounts for more than fifty percent of all nail disorders. This product, called Renewed Nail®, uses a superglue-like component combined with an antifungal agent to deprive the fungus of its nutrition sources. Any product claiming results in one week is absolutely false and a waste of the consumer’s time and money. “Home remedies” such as applying Vick’s VapoRub®, vinegar or tea tree oil merely soften the nail and do nothing to attack the fungus. They may improve in appearance temporarily, but fungi are very resilient and will undoubtedly return. A professionally developed treatment rooted in science is the best option to clear healthy nails.
