May 7th Meeting at the U.S. Capitol Launches Restoration of the Principles in the Constitution That Are Based on the Ten Commandments.

Culpeper, VA (April 28, 2006) - With all the media coverage about whether or not the Ten Commandments should be kept in courts and legislation, the Ten Commandments Mission (TCM) is upholding and advocating the significance of God’s Ten Commandments just as it is written in the Bible, emphasizing the original purpose of God’s Law which is to “…forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments” as stated in Proverbs 3:1. TCM will be holding a public meeting on May 7th at 10am in Upper Senate Park at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. to launch a national movement to educate the public of principles that our founding fathers believed about the unification of church and state and to reinforce the biblical standards that established and shaped Christian America. They say that their mission is especially important to every American because it informs of our religious liberties and of the advantages of worshipping God according to the dictates of our conscience.

The Co-Founders of the Ten Commandments Mission (Kelly Morris from Baltimore, MD and Matthew Peters from Manassas, VA) say that within the next 12 months their goal is to effectively inform at least 1 million Americans of the complexity of church and state union and more importantly of the freedom and power of worshipping God “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). They also publish these issues at TenCommandmentsDay.org where they go in detail using history and Bible facts to explain these topics.

Christians in America are calling May 7th “Ten Commandments Day” and many of the evangelical leaders will be observing the day by acknowledging the Commandments in the light of instituting them using legislation, while the Ten Commandments Mission will be utilizing this day to encourage the nation to do what the “Giver” of the Commandments has instructed His followers to do… “If ye love me keep my commandments” as stated in John 14:15.

As a part of their campaign TCM is giving away a free custom designed copy of the Ten Commandments on May 7th which is also available at TenCommandmentsDay.org along with other free downloadable media relating to the Ten Commandments.
