Mrs. Florida Globe 2007 is Crowned!

NAPLES, FLORIDA – Kristen Weardon of Naples, Florida was crowned Mrs. Florida Globe.  As the  new Mrs. Florida Globe, Weardon will represent Mrs. Florida Globe at the next Ms. U.S.of A. Globe contest, being held August 24- September 3rd 2007, in Palm Springs, California.  If selected Ms. U.S.of A, Weardon will represent the United States of America at the international 2008 Mrs. Globe®.

The Ms. U.S. of A. Globe contest is more than just a pageant.  It is a fund-raiser for the Women In Need Foundation, a non-profit crises counseling and educational outreach for women and children faced with abuse.   As Mrs. Florida Globe, Weardon is now the official state spokesperson for the W.I.N. Foundation.

As the state spokes person for W.I.N. the new Mr. Florida Globe plans on using her Mrs. Florida win to contine bringing the message of hope and healing of W.I.N.   Says the new winner, “Abuse is one of the worst kept secrets.”  As the new Mrs. Florida Globe, I hope to share the message that abuse is not a disease, but a learned behavior, therefore the power to heal is within our reach.”
