Moving New Single Pays Homage to Combat Vets & their Families

[Nov. 9, 2006 – Port Washington, NY]  Koch Records is proud to announce the release of a timely new single release from award-winning singer/songwriter Bill Misener.

Entitled The Veteran’s Waltz, the soothing ballad is reminiscent of the work of Pete Seeger and Nancy Griffith.  Misener says he was inspired by and has dedicated his piece to American’s combat veterans and their families.  The Warwick, NY artist wrote, arranged, produced and performed the solo offering.

Misener’s production credits include Gordon Lightfoot, Keith Hampshire, Ian Tyson & Christopher Plummer to mention a few.  Through the sixties, seventies and eighties he was a studio guitarist and singer on recordings by Duke Ellington, Anne Murray, Gordon Lightfoot, Alice Cooper, Keith Hampshire and a host of others.

Misener has also written, arranged & produced music for numerous motion picture sound tracks and jingles and has recorded three solo albums.  In addition, he lent his voice to 13 albums, as a member of The Laurie Bower Singers.

Multi-talented, to say the least, Misener is also known as the voiceover of Folgers Coffee in their classic Holiday commercial: “A Soldier Home for Christmas – The Homecoming”.

In the words of POW and Viet Nam War veteran Senator John McCain, “Bill Misener is clearly a talented songwriter with a powerful gift for language.”  The Veteran’s Waltz proves it!”

NOTE:
A generous charitable donation to the Disabled Veteran’s of America and Vet’s Journey Home organizations will be made from Bill’s proceeds from the “The Veteran’s Waltz”.  His own father was a 2nd World War combat veteran.
