More Than Interactive Games Launches First Interactive Sitcom
October 10, 2007

NEW YORK, NY -- October 10, 2007 -- Sitcoms aren’t just for TV anymore. While the television networks are struggling to find direction in the world of the web, More Than Interactive Games, LLC (MTI) is doing its part to revolutionize the sitcom with the launch of the first episode of “Supple®,” a new downloadable dialogue-driven interactive game.

Founded in 2004, New York-based interactive entertainment development company MTI Games develops dialogue-driven social simulation video games based on advanced artificial intelligence.  “Supple” is an episodic game set in the fast-paced office of Supple Magazine, a smart and sexy glamour magazine geared toward Single Urban Professional women. The “Supple” series chronicles the life of a young associate editor as she tries to use her social prowess to get ahead.

In a gameworld that might best be described as “The Devil Wears Prada” meets “The Sims,” the player can engage each of the other characters in fun conversations and what the player chooses to say can make or break their chances for success.  Like an entertaining television sitcom, “Supple” is driven by engaging dialogue recorded by professional actors.

What makes “Supple” truly unique is that, much like real life, the stronger your interpersonal skills, the better you’ll do. For example, it won’t do to just “punch the clock” at work; there’s networking, schmoozing, and social-climbing to do. Luckily, there are plenty of opportunities to help you along. There’s a trendy boutique where you can shop for yourself (or for kiss-up gifts for others). You can take online courses to boost your career. You can even hang out and socialize at Buddha Bob’s Bar, a funky watering hole complete with a sooth-saying bartender with words of fashion wisdom like, “Under our clothes, we are all wearing the same designer.” And, just like life, inter-office relationships can develop. Options for flirting, complimenting, confronting and, of course, insulting your colleagues are just a click away. (Your character Arin may even choose to get it on with hottie co-worker Hugh Chadwick in the illustrious “Boom-boom Room”).

In December 2006, MTI started quietly selling the first episode on the game’s website, www.supplegame.com , and testimonials from players started pouring in immediately (see The Buzz section of the website). Now, with a tweak or two to the gameplay and a few new features, MTI has released an upgraded version, ready for prime time and looking to open up a new frontier in the world of interactive entertainment.

“Supple is our first step towards building an interactive TV show,” says MTI partner Jeff Siegel. “With spoken dialog, amusing attitude and attractive characters, Supple combines the elements of a sitcom with the play of a game. We believe it’s an important step forward in the integration of television and web-based interactive entertainment. Many people love it. We’re offering gamers something they haven’t found anywhere else and it seems they can’t get enough of it.”
