Manhattan Center Studios Launches MCS Records

New York -- April 12, 2007 -- Manhattan Center Studios (MCS), home of the Hammerstein Ballroom and the Grand Ballroom, announces the launch of MCS Records, a new record label that expands creative options to unsigned and established performance artists of several genres including Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock and Reggae. “Our creative possibilities are unparalleled in the industry,” says Richie Clarke, Vice President of MCS Records.

The first artist signed to the MCS label is Rell Bless, a Brooklyn based Hip Hop artist with a unique sound. “Rell Bless is truly untapped talent” says J.T Allred, Director of A&R at MCS Records. “With his strong delivery, Rell will be a force to be reckoned with, especially with one of Brooklyn’s best kept secrets on board, Producer “C-Note”, the two will be unstoppable”.

When asked about the inspiration for expanding the Manhattan Center Studios enterprise to include MCS Records, Russell Arnold, CEO of Manhattan Center Studios and CEO/President of MCS Records says “we are always looking to provide an outlet for some of the gifted new talent that we have come across over the years. MCS Records allows us to do just that.”

In addition to Rell Bless and other MCS Records artists soon to be announced, MCS Records will open its doors to artists by holding a talent search on Tuesday, April 24 2007 at Manhattan’s S.O.B’s (200 Varick St, New York, NY from 11am-11pm) where select artists will compete for a Record deal and the chance to perform at the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein or Grand Ballroom before a live audience.
