Making a Splash in 2008, Chicagoland's Newest Boating Lake

Lake Oliver, a man-made, 300 acre boating paradise will be unveiled at the Schaumburg Lake Home & Cabin Show in April.  Located in Chicago's backyard, Lake Oliver beckons from a quaint, farming town - Chatsworth, Illinois in Livingston County. The lake basin was formed by a glacial washout some 15,000 years ago and will have a depth of 40 feet with a 14 foot average.  The lake is named after Franklin Oliver, the area's founder and great, great, great grandfather of the local farmer.

Lake Oliver will be making waves with a 2 1/2 mile water ski run, a 3000 linear foot, lighted airstrip with hangar homes, and over 800 home sites... complete with a 30 acre, island gated community. A marina, community center with beach, restaurant with docks, 50 acres of green space and miles of walking trails are all charted for this aquatic development.
