"We are experiencing a tremendous amount of support for this event. Our manufacturers and vendors are partnering with us at Mike Thompson RV in support of this great event and charity. KEYSTONE RV, THOR MOTOR COACH, FLEETWOOD RV, BANK OF AMERICA, ROADTREK, TIFFIN, BANK OF THE WEST, WINNEBAGO have all signed on as major sponsors. Local businesses are stepping in to support. Asombroso Tequila will be on site offering Margarita Stands, while Chronic Tacos will be serving an authentic Mexican style lunch to the golfers. Donations for the Raffle and the Silent Auction are ahead of last year. Helicopter Drop Ticket Sales have exceeded last year's sales numbers also. Two of the EOD soldiers have been invited to throw the first ball at the July 24th, Angel's game. All of this is pointing to a successful event and that makes us happy. Our hearts go out to those EOD team members that have sacrificed so much for our country. We at Mike Thompson's RV want to do our part to help American Soldiers and their families that are in need of assistance. Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation is the charitable organization that has made it possible for a business like ours to actually give back to those who have given so much. We're humbled and extremely grateful to WEODWF for the service they provide." David Revere - Mike Thompson RV

EOD is a joint service military occupational skill which means EOD technicians serve within the Army, Marines, Navy and Airforce. The program is strictly manned by volunteer candidates that are specially trained. On average over 7000 brave soldiers serve as EOD technicians. They are responsible for disarming, rendering safe and disposing of a variety of unexploded military ordance and terrorist devices, normally called Improvised Explosive Devices. These devices on today's battlefields are responsible for the majority of fatalities and severe injuries to our troops. (http://woundedeodwarrior.org)
