MCS Records Talent Search Press Release

New York, April 16, 2007 -- Manhattan Center Studios (MCS), home to the Hammerstein Ballroom and the Grand Ballroom, announced earlier this month the formation of MCS Records as a new independent label.

As its first event, MCS Records is producing the MCS Star Search talent contest aimed at unsigned performance artists of any music genre who will compete for a chance at the ultimate prize: a recording contract and live performance at the world renowned Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom or Grand Ballroom.

Artists are invited to perform two songs (up to 3 minutes each) in front of MCS Records A&R Director J.T. Allred and Vice President Richie Clarke. All performances are to be videotaped for competition review and promotional purposes only. The top ten artists will be contacted and invited to compete in a showcase at a date and location to be announced.

The showcase winner will have the opportunity to receive a recording contract and to perform at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom or Grand Ballroom before a live audience of 1000 - 3000.

MCS Star Search produced by MCS Records will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at S.O.B’s on 200 Varick St. New York, NY 10014. Doors open at 11am.
