Local Realtor Utilizes an Alternative Way to Sell Real Estate

The traditional way of buying and selling real estate is over a century old. Owners sell directly to buyers or enlist the help of real estate professionals to sell their property for them.

Real Estate Broker, Sherry Crowe, recently bought into an alternative way of selling real estate that is sure to revolutionize the process for the next century and beyond.

Ms. Crowe, who’s been concentrated in the California real estate market for over 20 years, feels her new company, Pacific Auction Exchange Alternative Real Estate Solutions, Inc., is an excellent way for people to buy and sell real estate. Her company is part of the PAX (Pacific Auction Exchange, Inc.) network that uses a traditional auction method to sell real estate. “People are familiar with bidding on property that has gone into foreclosure. However, though real estate auctions have been around for banks and some real estate professionals, it’s relatively new for homeowners,” she said.

According to the parent company’s website, www.paxars.com , real estate auctions offer the homeowner several benefits. Though the homeowner may have to pay some small marketing costs initially for postcards, postage and ads to advertise the property, they do not have to pay any traditional selling expenses such as appraisals, property rehabilitation or even real estate commissions once the property sells.

Ms. Crowe, who also owns a mortgage company, Homestead Mortgage Corporation, says there are benefits for real estate agents as well. She stated properties tend to sell quicker and the streamlined marketing approach allows an agent to list more properties without sacrificing service to potential buyers and sellers.

Ms. Crowe went on to mention that though the work load is more efficient, running her PAX franchise takes effort and help from others. For Ms. Crowe, help is not far away. Two of her daughters, Shena and Lisa, also have experience in the real estate industry and form a team to help their mom. Shena, who’s a mortgage loan officer for Countrywide Home Loans, says her mother expects perfection and can be tough. However, she is proud her mom goes that extra mile for her clients and is honored to help out. Eldest daughter, Lisa, who has over ten years experience in real estate and has owned her own mortgage company as well, travels between her current home of Atlanta, Georgia to the West Coast to assist in the business.

With PAX becoming the fastest growing real estate company in the Western United States and dedicated franchisee owners like Sherry Crowe, this new form of buying and selling real estate is here to stay.
