Lingtastic provides low cost interpreting to the world

Nevada -- April 22, 2008 --- Chas Watkins, founder of Lingtastic, LLC announced today that Lingtastic is now in live beta.  Lingtastic is the first site on the web to offer live interpretation via a revolutionary new web technology.  Customers of Lingtastic may now use a live interpreter to aid them in their work or play by using Google Talk, Skype, cell phones, or any phone number in the world.  Using www.lingtastic.com customers may connect with a live interpreter within minutes.

Lingtastic smashes the price barrier for live interpretations allowing interpreters to set their own prices and customers to choose from a range of interpreters via skills, specialties, and price levels. Lingtastic will have prices starting at $11.00 an hour compared to industry standard prices of above $90 an hour.

The interpreter’s skill sets are rigorously tested by a team of experts.  The majority of the interpreters are experienced professionals, some with more than 20 years experience.  Throughout the closed beta Lingtastic received more than 800 applicants representing 44 languages.  Lingtastic anticipates that most of the applicants will be tested and online within the next few weeks. Currently the service has over 80 graded interpreters in Spanish/English as well as interpreters offering help in languages from Albanian to Swahili.

Lingtastic is an automated referral service that facilitates connection to interpreters through web based communications such as Google Talk, Skype, and ordinary telephone numbers.  The company sees itself as a service provider delivering its linguistic services by as many communication methods as possible. In the near future Lingtastic will also be offering low cost text translation for SMS messaging and emails.
