Emily Downing, attorney at Lewis & Lewis P.C., in Buffalo, New York, has settled a dog bite case for $65,000.

February 3, 2012 (MMD Newswire) -- Because of the potential severity of a dog bite, victims of dog bites are advised to seek medical attention immediately. Downing explained that in her most recent case, there was serious physical, mental, and emotional damage caused by the dog bite.

"The individual had 11 stitches and post-traumatic stress disorder," said Downing. "Though we won't be able to take away the victim's physical pain, we're hoping that this will be a psychological win for them. Our client has a long road of recovery ahead of them, and this will hopefully make that journey a little easier."

Anyone who has been attacked by a dog is urged to also seek assistance from one of their New York dog bite attorneys without delay to determine if they have a legal case.

Lewis & Lewis P.C. has been assisting injured individuals since 1944. Since then, Lewis & Lewis P.C. has transformed into the largest combined workers' compensation and personal injury attorney firm in Western New York.
