Kiss Every Step by Doris Martin and Ralph S. Martin tells of the survival of Doris Martin's entire family during the Holocaust

ESCONDIDO, Calif. and FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (MMD Newswire) March 17, 2010 -- Kiss Every Step by Doris Martin and Ralph S. Martin reveals the perils, hardships and triumphs of Doris Martin's entire family as they struggled through the Holocaust.

For years, Doris Martin could not speak about her experiences in Poland during the Nazi reign. Now, in Kiss Every Step, her husband, Ralph Martin, has written her story, told in the voices of the people who lived it. When the German army swept into Poland in1939 and occupied her hometown of Bedzin, they burned down the synagogue with an estimated 200 people locked inside and proceeded to murder most of the Jewish population. Yet through strokes of luck and good survival instincts, Martin's entire family miraculously survived.

Now active in telling her story in schools, Martin believes the story of the Holocaust must be kept alive to prevent it from ever happening again. Helping her to recreate her family's history in Kiss Every Step, her husband conducted extensive interviews with members of his wife's family, as well as traveling to significant locations in their backgrounds.

Hebrew literature professor Yigal Schwartz at Ben Gurion University says "Kiss Every Step... is a special story about a family who, amazingly, survived the Holocaust intact (both parents and their five children). The book is written in the different voices of the children of the family, in beautiful, yet non-literary language which retain an authentic feel. Each voice manages to construct a narrative and to tell a stirring and fascinating story."

Kiss Every Step is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
