Our future depends on our children, and our children depend on us to show them how to succeed.  Junior Achievement of Arizona and Stasis Travel management have teamed up to help educate our young people about work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

Stasis Travel knows that Junior Achievement needs financial resources to teach 85,000 K-12 students in Arizona.  Therefore, Stasis is partnering with JA by offering a new and creative way to raise funds.  If customers go to the new Junior Achievement WEB site (www.Jaaz.org ) and access the Support button, or call Stasis Travel direct at 480-290-7600 they can book their travel arrangements with ease.  Stasis will donate 5% back to Junior Achievement of Arizona to support educational programs for kids….our future workers, consumers, voters and leaders!

Junior Achievement brings the “real world” to students, opening their minds to unlimited potential through hands-on lessons and activities.  The JA experience is defined by the energy that occurs when passionate volunteers bring business to life for students of all grade levels, in partnership with classroom teachers.  JA changes lives, and the kids will tell you that JA is both “Fun” and “Relevant”.

The newest Junior Achievement program, JA BizTown™, was launched in September and will serve 13,000 children this year alone.  Students in grades 5 and 6 complete a classroom curriculum followed by a visit to a 7,000 square foot kid-sized town.  Student “workers” run the community for a day… take out bank loans to capitalize their businesses, implement a business plan and budget for each company, earn personal paychecks and manage money.  Students prepare business ads for the newspaper, radio station, TV studio and WEB pages.  They elect their mayor, earn personal paychecks, make investment decisions and even donate some of their hard-earned salaries back to their community!  After one day in JA BizTown™, one 5th grader said “This was the best day of my life!”.
