As a CPA, Jim has developed and implemented scalable data mining and analysis protocols, financial reporting structures and data visualization solutions that engage diverse groups of stakeholders. As a CFE, Jim has worked with financial institutions and the FBI on fraud investigations and has significant experience in corporate and legal compliance. He is a frequent speaker on fraud-related topics. As a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Jim has successfully applied proven Lean/ Six Sigma continuous improvement concepts, tools and methodologies to high-profile legal spend management initiatives. Jim has addressed general counsel, law department managers and attorneys on the topics of budgeting for improved performance, crisis management and managing alternative fee arrangements.
A graduate of John Carroll University with a double major in Accounting and Finance, Jim received a full tuition scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his MBA. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Society for Quality and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, where he co-chairs the Alternative Fee Arrangements Committee and is a State Chair for Pennsylvania. Jim also serves two Pittsburgh-based charitable organizations (Genesis and HEARTH). He enjoys golf, tennis, platform tennis and playing music.
The CLM conference will be one of the largest, fully inclusive defense industry conferences in 2012.
