Is Having Allstate Homeowner’s & Flood Insurance Like Having None at All?
April 25, 2007 -- With insurance companies programming their contractors and their adjusters to abide by their orchestrated planned defense for the damage appraisal process to prevent large payouts in Florida, Louisiana and Texas has suddenly streamed northward and it’s impact is being felt by many homeowners.
The recent barrage of consecutive wind driven rain storms in the Northeast has resulted in various flood and damage from wind and the elements and Allstate Insurance again has that situation in control by using every description in the book to avoid paying any money at all to claimants for damages sustained from the storms. This company among others has been certainly consistent in turning a deaf ear on those that need it most in a time where they thought were sure that their flood and homeowner’s insurance would save the day. That has turned into a nightmare as they’ve discovered that Allstate is more concerned with their own bottom line and their ability to put the premium monies into stocks to earn them an unimaginable fortune at the expense of their policyholders.
A family in Connecticut that unfortunately had to submit a claim and were refused coverage on their roof because they say it was from wear only and the family is now faced with the inability to protect their home from further damage by the elements as the cost of replacement is not available to them by Allstate or their own funds. This company has sunk to a new low and they should be put to task for it.
The family is now consulting an attorney and have filed a complaint with the Connecticut Consumer Affairs-Homeowner’s Insurance Division and it’s under review, although that certainly is not making the family feel any better with rain forecast for the latter part of this week and further damage to their home is imminent. It’s now in the hands of others that are in a position to help but will they?
If you have Allstate Insurance, give it a second thought, shop around to see if you can do better as this is just a warning, buyer beware! God Bless all of those folks affected by these growing problems and unscrupulous tactics in the insurance industry. If anyone out there can help this family, please call: 877-841-7673 to offer any assistance you can. We all must do something to get the slickness out of the insurance industry.
