Investment Portfolio Management Software Offers Innovative New Features for Home Use
February 20, 2008
February 20, 2008 -- Manage Invest is the first product available for home use that is in fact a fully featured investment portfolio manager. It can handle all types of assets (most products focus exclusively on stocks) categorized into standard financial assets such as stocks, cash, CODs etc; derivative financial assets such as options, futures; and physical assets such as residential property, commercial property, art, etc.

Other than easy processing for buys, sells, dividends and distributions some of the features related specifically to financial assets include simple processing for corporate actions such as bonus unit issues, splits, consolidations, scrip for scrip rollovers, spin-offs and capital return events. Of course the product also calculates capital gains automatically. Potential capital gains for each parcel of stocks within a holding are shown while the sale is being entered so that users can allocate the number of units sold in a way that optimizes the results in terms of capital gains and losses and their tax consequences. Manage Invest can also handle short selling of financial assets.

Manage Invest offers investors a new level of insight into their investment portfolio, from eye-opening summaries showing vital information about the portfolio from many angles  to a wide range of charts, reports and screens that allow them to drill down to a very fine level of detail. Investors will be more informed in less time and with less effort than ever before.

Manage Invest also helps investors succeed by enabling them to identify how the various components of their portfolio have contributed to their overall performance and allowing investors to identify good and bad advisors based on the performance of their recommendations, the costs incurred in receiving those recommendations.

Some of the new tools and features that Manage Invest has to offer are:
  • •    The attachment feature, which allows users to attach documents to events, just as they would to an email.
  • •    The RSS  reader, which loads up to date headlines about stocks in a portfolio directly into the investor’s copy of Manage Invest, thereby ensuring that investors are kept up to date. Analysis of assets grouped by broker, advisor, fund manager, allocation category or market sector with optional benchmarking.
  • •    Report and chart creator, which allows detailed reports and charts to be run and printed at any time, which is a time and money saver at tax time.
  • •    Separate tax modules which contain tax rules for investors in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. (Other countries’ tax rules can be added manually.)
