(mmd-news) - - George J. Blanchard of San Diego California conceived of Shaders while on a business trip to Guam in July of 2005.  During his trip, he visited a new car dealership to check out the latest models.  “I inadvertently rested my lower arm on the fender of one car and the intense heat of the metal caused a burn” he said.  “When I stepped back, I could see the radiant heat coming off the vehicle and even with the windows partially opened, the interior space was equally hot.  I wondered why new, expensive cars were not better protected.”

It soon became apparent to George that automobile owners, particularly those living in the Southern U.S. states and those who live in the equatorial and desert regions could benefit from a product designed to reduce the amount of heat and UV rays absorbed through direct sun exposure.

George developed Shaders as the solution to this universal problem.  Shaders protect a vehicle’s exterior and interior from extreme thermal loads. Shaders will also shield paint finishes and interior fabrics from damaging UV exposure. Its water-repellent feature reduces the amount of work needed to maintain a vehicle’s appearance.  Shaders is both lightweight and portable and appeals to a wide market of consumers, both private and commercial.

This original idea is now being made available for licensing to manufacturers interested in new product development, especially within the automotive accessories industry.  George is hoping to have Shaders in full production and available to the public within the very near future.
