August 05, 2008 – Guardian Angel®, an innovative logistics program developed by Dawson Logistics, has attained its 3 year milestone.  The program impacts the Specialty Pharmacy Cold Chain logistics model by significantly reducing spoilage, dramatically reducing re-ships, and improving customer service to their patients.  The program shores the gap that currently exists between current on time delivery percentages and the 100% on time that Cold Chain Product demands.
 
According to Josh Hobick, Senior Vice President for Dawson Logistics, the Guardian Angel® program uses a proprietary software system called GATS.  This system is a primary ingredient to Guardian Angels® success.  It has been tested by some of Specialty Pharmacies most respected organizations.  Companies such as Aetna Specialty Pharmacy, Wal-Mart Specialty Pharmacy, Amgen and Walgreen to name a few.  These organizations have experienced significant success and cost savings by utilizing the Guardian Angel® program.
