ICS Software Ltd. Announces Goodbye to Paper Routing Slips and Hello to the Electronic Routing Slip/Super bill

ICS Software Ltd. writers of The Sammy Systems Practice Management Software have just released an electronic routing slip.  The electronic routing slip (ERS) is designed to allow doctors to enter a routing slip/superbill on the computer thereby creating a complete claim.  This eliminates the need for the doctor to fill out a paper routing slip and then have the doctor’s staff key in the correct codes. The ERS eliminates key stroke error and saves the office time so they can concentrate on collecting receivables.  

The ERS starts by showing the doctor all the patients who are coming in for an appointment that day.

The doctor chooses the patient, and then Sammy opens to reveal a list of diagnosis and procedure codes.

Sammy has the ability to scan the program and look for the most common codes used and put them on the ERS.  Once the codes are selected the doctor has the ability to add modifiers, change fees and even change diagnostic pointers.  After the coding is complete, the doctor has the option to inform the front desk that a prescription was written, or that the next appointment should be in a certain amount of time.  All of this information is accessible from the ERS billing screen.  With one easy click after the claim is completed the doctor then sends the claim to the front desk.

Once at the front desk, the staff will be able to add the co-payment, reappoint the patient, give the patient a reminder card and give the prescription to the patient.
