[Houston, TX / Feb. 19, 2008] Lori Lamb Pope is the mother of two boys in their late teens, and twin sons under 3. Like most mothers with two toddlers, her schedule is typically overloaded, and like many today, she has found it more convenient to shop over the Internet for clothes and toys. Every three months or so her twins would lose interest in the toys they had. Toys were cluttering her home, and it was getting downright expensive to keep buying replacements on a regular basis, so Lori Lamb got a brain storm. If people can rent movies, furniture and even handbags over the Internet, why can't they rent toys? She was already running a multimillion dollar oilfield parts supply business that took orders over the internet and she knew how to package and ship. It only made sense that the same could be done with toys?

In October of 2007 Lori Lamb selected and purchased a small inventory of popular toys for infants through preschool age and she launched a web page under the name, babyplays.com . Knowing that kids get bored quickly with their toys, she would let customers rent on a monthly basis, allowing them up to ten toys per month. She would cover the cost of shipping both ways, and not charge any late fees. In a few short months her business exploded, and her web site began receiving so many daily hits, that it regularly crashed. She found a new IP host so the site could handle millions of hits and began working around the clock to fill orders.

Lori Lamb's business is booming and every day more and more families are discovering this practical way to provide toys for their children. She has already outgrown her present facility and is making plans to expand her infra-structure to keep up with the growing demand of her business and soon will be moving into a much larger facility. As Lori Lamb examined her demographics, she discovered that 20% of her regular customers were grandparents, who love the idea of renting toys and rotating new selections to keep their grandchildren entertained. She has now expanded her inventory to more than 200, lead-free toy selections.

Lori Lamb is a remarkable woman, with an equally remarkable background. Her parents were missionaries in Mexico, and they along with their nine children lived in, and traveled the country in an old school bus. When Lori Lamb was twelve, her mother moved their family to Houston. She had just divorced and found herself faced with raising her children without any support or assistance from their father. Times were obviously tough, and money was short.
