Hope4Heroes Hits One Out of the Park
World Series Winner Jay Johnstone joins the Hope4Heroes Team to support the Heroes vs. Legends sports tour for charity
San Antonio, Texas (MMD Newswire) October 29, 2010 -- Today www.Hope4Heroes.org , a San Antonio based non-profit organization for Veterans and families, held a press conference Nelson Wolff Stadium to announce its new national spokesperson, four-time World Series winner, Jay Johnstone and also the 2011 national tour. www.woundedheroesbaseball.com
"Baseball is America's national past-time and you couldn't have baseball or the freedom to enjoy our past-time without the people who have fought and continue to fight for our country," said Johnstone.
As Hope4Heroes National Spokesperson, Johnstone will be the liaison to MLB and our nations Veterans as well as the acting President of the Hope4Heroes California chapter. Two of Johnstone's main roles will be to participate in charity auctions as the official Memorabilia Director and speaking at corporate events as Hope4Heroes Corporate Development Liaison.

Hope4Heroes, held the first ever Wounded Heroes Baseball Classic at Nelson Wolff Stadium on Sept. 4, 2010. The All-Star formatted game featured wounded and combat Veterans playing against the legends of the game, including- Rollie Fingers, Gaylord Perry, Jeff Kent, Micah Bowie, Chuck McElroy, Gary Bell, Danny Graves, and Jay Johnstone.
