Injustice: IF BARRY GOES TO JAIL, THEN BASEBALL CAN GO TO HELL!

The California prison system is approximately 70% over capacity. The reasons are many but injustice and “The Three Strikes Law” are the main causes. But there is a solution:

Prisoners like Santos Reyes currently serving 26 years to life for lying on a driving test could be released through a new clemency system designed to reduce the prison population by releasing nonviolent prisoners currently serving sentences that grossly outweigh their crimes. This one case could save the state approximately $700,000.00 alone in incarceration cost if granted clemency through the new California Clemency board. But there are thousands of similar cases of gross sentences for nonviolent prisoners.

This proposed future constitutional amendment cuts through appeals just as a presidential pardon would. And once fully implemented it could save the state billions. Details of California Clemency can be viewed on my blog: Californiaclemency.blogstream.com; scroll down to March 5, 2008 posting.

I’m a freak of society not of nature but don’t call me gay yet. “Not that there is anything wrong with it.” As long as injustice is standing in the way of justice I can neither be happy nor proud.
