After she was cured of her own allergies and Migraine headaches with Hypnotherapy treatments some twenty-five years ago, Vreeland knew it was something she could use to help others. Formerly a top Image Consultant, she began her studies of Hypnotherapy with a view of integrating Hypnotherapy into her image business to help her clients reach their goals more quickly. She knew that Hypnotherapy is safe, relaxing, drug free and individuals see results rather quickly.
Certified 16 years ago as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Vreeland has successfully worked with thousands of clients. The American Medical Association (AMA), The British Medical Association (BMA) and, recently, even Oprah endorses the field of Hypnotherapy. Quoted in December 2006 “O” magazine (Losing Weight: The Mind Game), “Those using hypnosis lost an average of nearly 15 pounds; those not using it, only six.” The article goes on to explain even more benefits of hypnosis.
Vreeland carries a specialty in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), also known as spastic colon, Colitis, or nervous stomach, which is a baffling and complex set of gastrointestinal symptoms that affect 15% to 20% of the US population (1 out of every 5 persons in the USA). In addition, Vreeland employs her skills as a Hypnotherapist to assist in weight management, smoking cessation and phobias, with specializations in stress, pain management, Fibromyalgia, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). “It is just amazing to see all the benefits it provides.” noted Vreeland.
“Moreover, Hypnotherapy works successfully with males and females and I work with both adults and teens.” she continued. “Helping my clients quit smoking has been one of the most rewarding parts of my practice and for which I seem to be most in demand. My non-smoking success rate is unusually high.”
Recognizing that there is still an unfounded fear among certain people to being hypnotized, she assures clients that they will never lose control and that the client will actively participate in the process. “I want my clients to know that nothing ever occurs that is against their will or moral code. Nor they would never participate in anything that would be embarrassing. Hypnotherapy is safe and successful.”
Featured on radio and television, Vreeland is an experienced speaker and has been invited by many companies, organizations and service clubs to speak on Hypnotherapy, Stress, Self Talk, and Image. She has authored many articles for newspapers and magazines and is working on a book illustrating how the mind impacts our behavior. “Amazing as it may sound, your mind does control your body! “ she says.
She is a member in good standing with the National Guild of Hypnotherapists, The American Board of Hypnotherapy, The American Hypnosis Association, The International Hypnosis Federation, and the National League of Medical Hypnotherapists. She holds Hall of Fame status with the Better Business Bureau of the Tri Counties and is a member in good standing with the Ventura, Oxnard and Camarillo Chambers of Commerce. She has served on numerous non-profit boards in Ventura County.
Vreeland is single, has a daughter, one grandson, and a great-granddaughter. While her family and friends consider her a gourmet cook, she confesses that, outside her work, her real loves are gardening, the theater, travel, dancing, photography and golf lessons. She is also an avid reader and enjoys daily walks with her Bichon Frise, Chloe.
