The Greening of Healthcare in the San Fernando Valley Novel Approach May Reduce the Cost of Treatment for Pain by 2/3
West Hills, CA April 24, 2008 -- The concept of greening to save our environment is everywhere. One area that hasn’t been touched on is the concept of greening as it relates to the cost of treatment for muscle and joint pain.
Pain, aching, stiffness, tightness, tension and other complaints in the muscles and joints represent some of the top reasons people seek medical care. Most people who opt for treatment are typically seen three times a week for at least 3 weeks. Often people are seen for months, sometimes even years. Many will not have lasting relief even with this extensive series of treatment and the cost of this length of care is driving many other segments of our economy. The additional problem stems from people not knowing if the treatment will be effective and lasting.
Now there’s a solution which can help keep health care costs down and assure results. It’s called Primal Reflex Release Technique TM (PRRT). PRRT consists of light tapping, stroking, flicking of various areas of the body where many of our reflexes are housed. PRRT is unlike any prior technique of treatment and has nothing to do with reflexology. A patient may be seen for as little as 3 sessions over a period of 3 weeks thus reducing the cost of care by 2/3. PRRT must be making a significant impact early on or more sessions would not be recommended.
Scott Dreben, MPT, OCS, President of Touch of Life Physical Therapy, Inc. states that PRRT has completely changed his understanding and approach to the treatment of pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction. “PRRT can be so powerful, that it is the first treatment of choice for all of our patients with musculoskeletal complaints”, Dreben reports. “We have been successful utilizing this approach to substantially reduce the number of treatments for many of our patients thereby saving time and money for our patients and their insurance companies.”
John Iams, M.A., P.T., developed this approach after 3 decades of searching for a cost effective way to release pain. He has now trained over 1200 practitioners worldwide.
