Hawaii Pacific Teleport launches new C-band Pacific Region service on SES NEW SKIES NSS-5 |

Kapolei -- August 20, 2008 -- Hawaii Pacific Teleport announced today that they have put into service a Standard ‘A’ (15.5m) c-band antenna on the NSS-5 satellite at 183E for an anchor customer serving maritime end users across the Pacific Ocean.
Vince Waterson VP of business development at Hawaii Pacific Teleport said “The addition of this new antenna to our extensive antenna farm makes Hawaii Pacific Teleport the largest independent teleport in Hawaii and positions us as the primary satellite gateway between Asia and the USA”
SES NEW SKIES Senior Director of Sales North America, Dixie Wilson, welcomed the news and said “We are pleased to welcome Hawaii Pacific Teleport to our global network of teleports serving NEW SKIES’ satellites and the additional access point it will provide to our soon be launched next generation NSS-9 satellite replacing NSS-5”
