Richie Kotzen is a guitarist /singer/songwriter who has a 30 album plus discography and has collaborated with such varied artists as Jazz legend Stanley Clarke as a member of their band Vertu (guitar) (1999), as well as replacing guitarist CC Deville in the glam rock band Poison(1991-1993). Richie was also a member of the multi platinum band MR big (2000-2004) and had a number one single in Japan with a song he wrote called Shine. Kotzen has 2 signature series Fender guitars of which the telecaster model has repeatedly been the number one selling signature model for Fender Japan. Kotzen has appeared on numerous music magazine covers including the cover of Guitar World magazine as a teenager after the release of his self titled debut cd. He is celebrated world wide as one of the greatest rock guitar players of all time. As a lead singer Kotzen has been compared to blues rock greats like Paul Rodgers, Steve Marriott, and Rod Stewart. 
Kotzen's latest cd Go Faster features a 4 piece line up with Kotzen handling vocals and guitar. His band includes drummer Franklin Vanderbilt (Lenny Kravitz/Stevie Wonder) , keybordist Arlan Shierbaum, and bassist Virgil McKoy. The cd is in the style of classic rock and has influences from groups like Bad Company and The Black Crowes as well as solo artists like Curtis Mayfield and Jimi Hendrix. This essential Kotzen cd features haunting melodies inspired guitar solos and soul stirring lyrics. Richie blends his late 60's early 70's classic rock and soul influences with a level of virtuoso performance rarely heard in modern music. Summary
Richie Kotzen will release his 16th solo cd titled Go Faster on October 18th 2007. Last year as a solo artist Kotzen was the opening act for the Rolling Stones a bigger bang tour and opened 5 stadium shows in Japan. Kotzen is embarking on a world tour in support of the cd including shows in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and for the first time Russia.
