Grand Opening – TRUE Health and Fitness

January 24, 2007, Mauldin, SC—

After three months of intensive redesigning and renovation, TRUE Health and Fitness is set to announce its Grand Opening Tuesday, January 30th, 2007.   This exciting event will run from 5:30 – 7:30PM and will include a ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce and Mauldin’s Mayor R.C. Jones.  There will be free food and beverages and a bevy of health and fitness vendors serving smoothies, performing free massages and even chiropractic evaluations.  Grand Opening Membership Specials and door prizes including free 1 hour massages, tanning packages and free one-year memberships will be offered during the event as well.

Todd Glassman, who has owned the company previously known as Powerhouse Gym for over five years decided he wanted to bring the Mauldin market a high-end health club that not only caters to experienced lifters but also senior members and female exercisers.  He felt that demographic was underserved and often neglected.  Therefore, Glassman and his partner Charles DeMarco decided to step away from the Powerhouse brand and develop a new concept that was all about “true fitness for everyone”.

The new TRUE Health and Fitness has been renovated in all areas including the locker rooms and entire workout floor.  The club is now equipped with a private ladies only toning area that includes a toning circuit with brand new Nautilus equipment, a lavish smoothie lounge, and brand new cardio equipment that is conducive for all fitness levels.

“It has taken a lot of planning and effort over the last several months, but I finally feel good about what we are offering to the local residents.  A club that everyone can enjoy and most importantly comfortably afford”, states Glassman.
