Great Labels, a designer/consignment boutique located in Santa Monica announces “Earth Weekend – A Green Shopping Event” on Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ten percent (10%) of all proceeds will be donated to the non-profit environmental organization, Stop Global Warming.org.
As designers and consumers become more aware, green consciousness is picking up steam with everyone CEO’s and celebrities to eco-conscious moms. The average American disposes of approximately 35 lbs of old clothing and shoes a year, much of it ending up in landfills.
