Los Angeles, CA: This Market Week, you know where to look – on the runway of the exclusive Directives West California Chic Fashion Show, where models will exhibit pieces from Genevieve Primavera’s line of contemporary sportswear.
“We’re particularly proud of marrying style and pragmatism in our line of contemporary sportswear,” says Mary-Elizabeth Primavera, CEO of Genevieve Primavera. “The Directives West show is a great place to show off two of the hottest outfits in our collection to their best advantage.” As one of only a dozen designers to be chosen for the Directives West show, Genevieve Primavera’s sportswear line will be showcased on March 23, 2007. The whole collection will be on display at the Mariana Ojeda Showroom between March 23 and March 27, giving people a more extensive look at the designs.
Primavera’s work reflects her deep artistic background, her long experience with fabric, as well as her own personal struggles to overcome. Powering through a failed marriage, Primavera continued to put herself through college and maintained a graphic design services firm for ten years, even as she raised five children by herself.
Only after working with a designer friend for three years did she create Genevieve Primavera. She debuted with a bang; after her very first collection, she was asked to participate in San Francisco Fashion Week, where she caught the eyes of California Apparel News, Fashion Wire Daily, San Francisco Chronicle, The Mercury News, Blick.com, and Wire Image.
