FREE CAREER SERVICES HELPS MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS FIND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Rockland, Massachusetts (June 5, 2008) --- Can Massachusetts continue to avoid the rising rates in unemployment that the rest of the nation is experiencing?  The answer is a resounding “Yes!” according to Christine Driscoll O’Neill, Executive Director of One Life at a Time.  For those individuals who are struggling to find employment opportunities, One Life at a Time provides FREE career building essentials needed to be successful in the work place.

“Everyone’s struggling right now,” says Driscoll, who opened One Life at a Time in November of 2007.  “We are committed to supporting individuals in their quest to find and maintain meaningful employment.”  Driscoll also points out that those who may be  struggling aren’t just the ones lacking skills and education.  “There are individuals out there who are in need of the career building essentials required to be successful in the work place,” she says.  “That’s what we are here for – we are helping individuals from all walks of life with the education and training they need to obtain and retain gainful employment.”

One Life at a Time is a private, non-profit organization that offers FREE career development services to individuals new or returning to the market place.  Services include skills assessment, career planning, computer training, office etiquette training, interview skills, resume preparation, image consultation, financial planning, job search planning, mentoring and coaching as well as job placement assistance.  Since January of this year, One Life at a Time has successfully placed over 30 individuals in desirable positions.
