Former Islamic Terrorist invited by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott to speak at Counterterrorism Conference in Austin
[Friday, July 18, 2008, Houston, TX] Former PLO terrorist, Walid Shoebat will join Counter-Terrorism experts from Israel in a Changing World Symposium: Preparing Law Enforcement Executives for the Future, a homeland security conference, being held in Austin, Texas at the Renaissance Austin Hotel (9721 Arboretum Boulevard) on July 21-22, 2008. Attending will be some 300 senior law enforcement officials from across Texas.
Shoebat was born in the West Bank and recruited into the PLO at a very early age. He spent many years spewing hatred and holding riots against Christians and Jews. He was even involved in the delivery of a bomb at a Jerusalem bank. When Shoebat moved to the United States to attend college in Chicago, he participated in a sleeper cell based out of a mosque, where he spent his time raising money and recruiting students for the PLO.
Over the past decade, Shoebat has been on a mission of peace, traveling the country educating students, the public and law enforcement agencies on the mind set and dangers of Fundamentalist Islam. He has spoken at more than 50 major colleges and universities, and has been a guest speaker at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VI as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He is the author of two best-selling books; WHY WE WANT TO KILL YOU and WHY I LEFT JIHAD, and on July 1st he released his third book, GOD'S WAR ON TERROR. Shoebat has been a familiar face in the news, appearing regularly on cable news programming.
