Project finance veteran brings over two decades of experience to fast, growing energy services provider.

MILL VALLEY, CA -- April 2, 2008 -- Solar Power Partners (SPP), a leader in distributed solar energy services for businesses and organizations, today announced that the company is adding to its management team and advancing one of its key members within the company.

To address the rapidly expanding demands by businesses, institutions, and municipalities for clean energy, Solar Power Partners welcomes new Vice President of Finance, Hans H. Been, MBA, MS (Finance) and has promoted Bryan K. Banke to Market Development Manager.

Since the early 1980’s, as an executive with the Bechtel Group, Montgomery Watson Inc., and the Bank of Montreal, Mr. Been has successfully structured and managed over a hundred energy and infrastructure projects valued in excess of $5 billion dollars.  His knowledge has brought innovative financing structures to the American banking community for renewable energy projects and the like. Through the innovative financial and risk management principles Mr. Been implemented, he has earned several distinguished awards including, the 2001 Euromoney “Deal of the Year” for infrastructure financing, and the Pathfinder Award for being a key contributor to the Independent Power Industry in the USA. Hans is a business graduate of the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and California State Northridge. He has provided testimonies to the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and has been a Finance lecturer at Stanford University, St. Mary’s College and Golden Gate University.

In addition to Mr. Been, SPP has also recently promoted Bryan Banke to Market Development Manager. “Bryan’s knowledge of the ever-changing incentive programs in multiple states has proven to be invaluable to helping SPP identify new opportunities in the US particularly on the East Coast – an area of increased focus for us,” said SPP’s v. Welczeck.
