Columbus, GA -- February 19, 2008 --  Local ESPN Talk Show Host, Rachel Baribeau,  is set to report to the Columbus Lions Training Camp starting February 20th.  The Columbus Lions are part of the 15 team American Indoor Football Association League and Baribeau is the Co-Host of In the Zone, which airs on ESPN Sports Radio 1580. 

Baribeau decided to attend training camp after being urged by her Co-Host, Mike Venafro, to gain a new perspective of the game.  Growing up in the sports world Baribeau has watched, studied and discussed football and now she has the opportunity to learn the game by actually participating in training camp.  According to the Coach and Director of Football Operations Jason Gibson, “We wanted to give an inside perspective of the hard work, dedication and professionalism it takes to be a professional athlete.  Knowing Rachel and her level of knowledge about sports and football, I think this is a great opportunity for her to communicate better with her audience the disciplines of indoor football.”
   
Baribeau will be expected to report with the skill players on February 20th for two-a-days. She will participate in full practice while wearing a non-contact jersey.  Baribeau is the 1st woman to participate in an indoor professional football training camp.
