“Fantasy Wedding Extravaganza” Showcases Chicago’s Elite Wedding Professionals to Engaged Couples

“Je t’aime!” Wedding Rendezvous breathes new life into the traditionally inanimate wedding services trade show. It provides an opportunity for Chicago’s most exclusive wedding professionals to pull out all the stops and showcase their services in the form of a true-to-life wedding ceremony and reception. At the same time, “Je t’aime!” helps couples plan their big event by having them experience the “best of the best” in a wedding retreat weekend of over-the-edge luxury.

December 18, 2007 – Chicago, Illinois – Mane Event, LLC and Omni Chicago Hotel present “Je t’aime!” Wedding Rendezvous as an alternative to the traditional wedding services trade show. This first-time-ever fantasy wedding extravaganza invites soon-to-wed couples to experience the services of Chicago’s most elite wedding professionals on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Omni Chicago Hotel, 676 North Michigan Avenue. The faux ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. - black-tie-optional - with a dinner dance reception following from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

“We know how overwhelming wedding planning can be,” says Virginia Lionberger of Mane Event, “so our intention is to help couples make their important decisions in a more entertaining and fabulous environment.”

The event will feature model brides and attendants wearing elegant wedding couture by Belle Vie Bridal Couture and grooms in handsome tuxedos in three fashion shows that occur with the ceremony, during cocktails, and with introductions into the dinner. The ceremony ballroom décor will be created by one of Chicago’s pre-eminent floral design houses, Heffernan Morgan, who will transform the ballroom into a fantasy nesting of sleek, modern elements and classic styling.

After the faux ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as another fashion show weaves its way through the event. “It’s in this lounge atmosphere that our guests will experience a low-key, relaxed, interactive presentation of services provided by the ‘crème de la crème’ of local wedding professionals,” says Lionberger.   

The candle-lit dinner dance ballroom will feature tablescapes and floral centerpieces representing each of the four seasons with wedding cakes to match. Dinner guests will preview more fashions as they’re treated to a four-course gourmet meal served by a white-gloved wait staff. The chef will personally describe each course and suggest wine pairings. The gourmet, designer cakes will be plated and served for dessert.

The evening continues with music provided by Music Masters Entertainment and an open dance floor where guests can dance the night away as they recount all the wedding plan possibilities they’ve experienced first hand throughout their fantasy “Je t’aime!” Wedding Rendezvous evening.

Part of the pre-event luxury package includes a stay at the Omni Chicago Hotel that is offering “Je t’aime!” guests an exclusive rate for the night. Here, guests can relax and dress for the evening’s gala and, Sunday morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast as a guest of the hotel at its 676 Restaurant.
