FileHold Systems Inc. adds Working Document features including Viewers, Mark up and Redaction to core product
Thursday, February 08, 2008 -- Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada -- FileHold Systems Inc, www.filehold.com , a developer of advanced document and record management software has launched FileHold’08 adding a range of powerful working document features to its already rich offering.
Larry Oliver, President, said “FileHold is a very stable platform for those seeking basic, structured, document and record management software. In our previous releases we focused on making it easy to add documents to FileHold through sophisticated scanning and document importation processes. With the release of FileHold’08 we are taking our product to a new level adding features that are normally found in much more expensive offerings. We can now give customers the ability to open and view up to 400 document formats without the need for the native software. For example complex documents such as CAD drawings can be opened, viewed and even annotated without having CAD software installed. This richness was accomplished by tightly integrating the “best of breed” Brava viewers from Informative Graphics into the FileHold desktop client.”
Using the powerful search and metadata capture features in FileHold; documents can be found and opened for viewing or updating. Once opened; customers can add “sticky notes”, comments or even a watermark such as “Confidential” to that document without changing the original version. The document can be passed through the FileHold workflow for comment and approval from multiple users and finally filed securely using FileHold version control. FileHold software keeps a record of all changes to all documents by date and user to ensure regulatory compliance.
The viewer can also convert hundreds of file formats into PDF, TIFF, JPG and Content Secure Format. FileHold provides support for printing to a local or network printer directly from the FileHold Desktop Client. These days with the emphasis on public disclosure of information it is essential to have a fast and easy way to remove sensitive information such as credit card numbers from public information.
