FID Dialogue and Friendship Dinners "Diverse Traditions, Shared Values”

The Foundation for Inter-Cultural Dialogue (FID) will be hosting the 4th Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinners in Phoenix and in Tucson. The dinner is free and open to everybody with a reservation in advance. The dinner is being co-sponsored by the Pacifica Institute of California and we expect to have more than 150 guests for each event.

FID is a non-profit and an independent organization established in 2004 by a group of Turkish Arizonans to promote dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration within Arizona’s multicultural society. To realize this purpose, the volunteers of FID are dedicated to create venues to foster dialogue, including annual dialogue and friendship dinners, panels, seminars, music and art performances, and inter-cultural dialogue trips. FID has branches in Phoenix and Tucson and often supports student events to increase awareness to diversity within college campuses.

We have invited representatives of various major religious and cultural groups, government officials, artists, journalists, and other professionals, hoping that the event will provide yet another opportunity to recognize and further efforts of dialogue among different communities in the area.

FID would greatly appreciate the media attention to this very unique event and would be more than happy to assist the media by providing video, images, and descriptive text before and after the event. Should you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
Omer Guvener
