FAIRYTALE THEATER WITH A GIANT, WIZARD AND AN ELF HAVE ARRIVED JUST IN TIME

Galli's Fairytale Theater, winner of the 2007 Berlin Children’s Theater Innovation Award, will premier its first production in New York City on May 3.

The Galli Group has a 25-year history of success in Europe, where its fairytale productions have played in seven theaters in multiple languages. It also has theater companies in China, Latin America, and Canada. Its many partners include The United Nations, European Commission, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, school boards, AIDS foundations, police departments, numerous charity organizations, and insurance companies.

The plays presented are based on original Grimm's fairytales. Each adaption includes dance, music and audience participation. Award-winning German playwright, mythologist and stage clown Johannes Galli uses the original stories and places them into modern context with humor.

Fully understanding children possess the same magical transformational nature of fairytales, the Galli Group seeks to increase personal growth in children, embracing their keen optimism, imagination and active participation in performances.
