Exotic Flowers, has reached an agreement with the Boston Red Sox to be their official florist

Boston, MA 9/5/7 - Exotic Flowers has reached an agreement with the Boston Red Sox to be their Official Florist. Exotic Flowers, Boston's Premier Florist, will implement the designation, 'The Official Florist of the Boston Red Sox' in all its marketingand packaging.

Exotic Flowers has been beautifying the lives of Bostonians for over 75 years; delivering over 200 floral arrangements a day to the greater Boston area. Exotic Flowers remains a family owned and operated business.

On July 12th, 1957 - Sonny Canale bought Lombardi Florist in Roslindale, MA. He had been employed there since early childhood. Lombardi's had been a successful florist and garden center since the early 1900's. In 1959, Sonny married Marie Russo. Marie owned Russo's Florist of Roslindale, MA est.1932. He then merged the two companies in 1959.

In 1993, foreseeing the changing economy, Sonny adopted the name Exotic Flowers for its primary signature. In 1994, a satellite location opened at 2 Dartmouth Street in Boston's south end. This location closed in 2002. In 1995, Exotic Flowers opened a full service florist and garden center on route 3A in Cohasset, MA. Sonny sold this store to his daughter Lauren Trifiro in 2000. In June, 2001 Exotic Flowers opened its flagship retail store at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, MA. Roslindale remains company headquarters. All deliveries emanate from this location.

Rick Canale, managing director of Exotic Flowers, came to terms with Joe Januszewski, vice president of corporate partnerships of the Boston Red Sox. Exotic Flowers hopes to grow their client base by this high profile sponsorship. Exotic Flowers has recently redesigned their packaging, uniforms, letterhead and vehicles to promote its sponsorship with the Boston Red Sox. Exotic Flowers has also adopted the telephone # 1-888-SOX-FLORIST to promote its designation.
