ETFs Fly on the Winds of Change

June 21, 2007 ---  An ETF is a basket of stocks that joins together companies that represent a particular investment goal. There are nearly a thousand of ETFs that give access to literally tens of thousands of stocks, dozens of industries, and untold variegated stock market strategies.

There are unexpected limits to the value of ETFs. Del Thiessen, an Evolutionary Psychologist, found that ETFs are of diminished value unless they are selected to represent the most fundamental characteristics of human behavior and cultural influences

The mega-trends that ultimately govern our lives -- from birth to death -- go unrecognized. This is a terrible loss of important criteria for ETF selection, and a misplaced faith that evolutionary and cultural contexts are unimportant. Mega-trends matter.

Demography does matter; developing and aging matter; evolution of greed and fear matter; cultural biases matter; globalization matters; energy and water matter; weather and climate matter; and economic cycles matter. ETFs never function in a vacuum, and big profits can't be made until "what matters really matters."

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES AND CONTRIBUTIONS: Del Thiessen shows in his reports and newsletters, ETF Perspective, how to select ETFs for investment that are compatible with dominant social drivers and, as a result, pay off handsomely. Every month a dominant mega-trend is described and linked to investment strategies and particular ETFs. From the many, one is selected as "Del's Portfolio Pick of the Month." Over the months a profitable and "bullet-proof" portfolio is assembled.

Press Release Summary

ETFs, Exchange Traded Funds, are worthless unless they are selected for their compatibility with human evolution and cultural influences. The strategic approach to the stock market draws these features together, allowing for large ETF yields.
