Micro-blogging services like Twitter that focus on giving people the ability to "update your status" are irrelevant and frankly, narcissistic. According to Computer World, a recent study performed by Pear Analytics concluded that 40.55% of tweets are "pointless babble." eSwarm users are active, and participating in the world's most relevant conversations, where the user-generated posts are meaningful. Temte says, "Does anyone really care when I tweet that I ‘just got to the office' or ‘am about to clean my house'? In eSwarm, we are talking about a tool that will alter the course of the 2012 election, not a tool to tell the world that you just got up from a nap."
The company will release a cell phone and PDA application, which are currently in stealth mode. "The need to instantly stay connected to conversations on the go is important to our users" says Temte.
