Fort Collins, Colorado -- February 6, 2008 -- Energy Park One is building a hub (stage) and national network for digital, interactive distribution to the desktops of five to six million professionals, venture capital contacts, agencies, academics, engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, politicians and other decision makers who make money in the energy industry. This group will evolve into a multi-billion dollar consortium that grows ideas and research into engineered prototypes and ultimately commercial ventures all over America. Organizing the market will stimulate the industry and accelerate progress. Competition will produce better results. Participants will find partners and join teams. Energy independence will be realized earlier rather than later and be more participatory.
Energy Park One is a 66 city block land assemblage near downtown Fort Collins, Colorado; a high tech hamlet of 130,000 people that was named “Best Place to Live in America” by Money Magazine in 2006. EPO has the site, a bold business plan and an infill location in Colorado’s most highly organized city for energy research initiatives. It is also the home of Colorado State University with its student body of 28,000. Energy Park One is in the early stages of organizing and marketing such a consortium and seeking “Expressions of Interest” from potential participants. Energy Park One will be an in-fill redevelopment site of about five million square feet of mixed-use density that will generate more energy than it uses. Initially this project will explore the potential of a consortium to manage a national stage, the purpose of which is to develop renewable energy commerce by interacting with national audiences. This national stage of about 500,000 square feet is envisioned as an economic engine that distributes its conferencing and trade shows to a national audience. The potential media revenue is huge with sources including pay per view conferencing, TV programming, advertising, DVD sales, tradeshow telelibrary, posters, books and merchandise. Energy Park One will begin with an initial $200 million project as a hub for alliances with partners in technology, media, telecom, computers, financial, engineering, construction and others. These will interact as an R&D Consortium that operates such facilities as trade shows, conferencing and labs. We have zoning, site capacity for 12,000 and a plan for about 30 to 40 buildings that provide the supporting services including residential for thousands of staff and students.
