The demonstration will be part of The IPA Association of America (TIPAAA) 12th Annual National Conference held in Las Vegas, NV from March 22 thru March 24th, 2007. EmPath’s HIE can be utilized to implement community-based connectivity for healthcare providers and hospitals, enabling the exchange of industry standardized Continuity of Care Records (CCRs).

"We are excited to demonstrate true interoperability with Allscripts using proven technology available in the public domain. We feel this is an important capability for IPAs to see first hand and realize that they can take control and make it happen,” stated Michael Lundie, President of EmPath Technologies.
"EmPath Technologies is a company that understands the importance of IPA’s in the establishment of a healthcare information exchange" said Al Holloway, founder, president and CEO of TIPAAA. "We are excited that they offer a freeware solution and methodology for making a healthcare information exchange a reality today.”
Additionally, EmPath President Michael Lundie will be speaking at the Annual Conference, on Friday, March 23, 2007. Mr. Lundie with Evelyn Jones, Vice President of The Coalition of Athens (GA) Area Physicians, will be speaking on "IPA’s – Catalysts for the Implementation of Community Based Health Information Exchanges.” They will be discussing the roles of IPAs in healthcare information exchanges, lowering costs, utilizing “public domain” software and tools as well as why the time is now.
