February 25, 2010 (MMD Newswire) -- Lenora Wong was born in Toronto, Canada and was raised outside Vancouver, BC. She first began dancing at the age of 2, and was recognized for having natural rhythm for music. Her foster father, who also had a 20-year-career as a lead singer and part-time musician in an band, largely influenced her. Lenora Wong took tap dancing in elementary school in the 7th grade, at this time she was asked along with a fellow schoolmate to perform at other schools.

It was years later that Lenora Wong developed confidence to take Hawaiian Dancing at a dance school. Her dance training lasted about 1 1/2 years. Since then she has taken a unique approach to self expression: performing a show that combines Hawaiian Dance with music to Elvis Presley. She choreographed herself to dance to 12 of Presley's music including "Falling in Love, Little Sister, Blue Hawaii, What a Night, Love me Tender, It's Now or Never, Marie's the Name, Tender Feeling, Wear my Ring, Rock A-Hula, Am I Ready, and All Shook Up".

Received professional training at Dupre' School of Dance, Vancouver BC, from an accomplished dance instructor who was Hawaiian-born; was able to learn authentic Hawaiian Dance interpretations. Hawaiian Dancing is part of her culture as Hawaiians are part French and Chinese.

Performed to sold-out audiences at Vancouver nightclubs, theatre, restaurants - Tahiti Hut, Seafood Restaurant, and appeared on Rogers Cable 4 TV.

Since 1988 Lenora Wong pursued a career as a health care professional and also put together her autobiography of Hawaiian Dancing to Romantic Elvis Presley music, such as "Can't help Falling in Love" as seen on my Hawaiian Dance Video on my website at www.lwhawaiiandancer.com.
