FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Morgellon’s Disease( also known as: Thread , Lisa’s, or Fiber Disease) is a modern day plague which silently grows within the host and after weeks may explode into cavernous, thread- bearing skin lesions, and can extrude eggs and larvae. It is a highly contagious, world-wide epidemic which will soon reach a critical mass. Dr. Schwartz says the reports of new cases of the disease are doubling monthly. The Morgellon’s parasite can infest homes and buildings, remaining undetected and dormant for months.
Effective Treatment Presented For Morgellon’s Disease
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - - August 28, 2006 - - At the 2nd International Conference for the “Society for the Study of Global Warming and Emerging Parasitic and Infectious Diseases”, Dr. George Schwartz demonstrated how an intensive anti-parasitic treatment program leads to effective treatment of Morgellon’s Disease and cure in early cases.Morgellon’s Disease( also known as: Thread , Lisa’s, or Fiber Disease) is a modern day plague which silently grows within the host and after weeks may explode into cavernous, thread- bearing skin lesions, and can extrude eggs and larvae. It is a highly contagious, world-wide epidemic which will soon reach a critical mass. Dr. Schwartz says the reports of new cases of the disease are doubling monthly. The Morgellon’s parasite can infest homes and buildings, remaining undetected and dormant for months.
In his research presentation, entitled “ The Parasite Explosion: Effective Treatment for Morgellon’s Disease”, Dr. Schwartz said, “The disease will respond dramatically to an intensive anti-parasite treatment program and there can be effective management and cure in early cases”, he added, “ Based on the seriousness of the condition and the expanding number of patients, in the future there will have to be special centers to treat the affliction due to the extreme contagiousness of the condition and need for multidisciplinary treatment such as infectious disease experts, orthopedists, nutritionists, rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, and even denists and oral surgeons due to tooth erosion”.
This “mystery” disease is a contagious and serious systemic disease involving intense pruritis ( itching), a creeping-crawling sensation and poorly healing skin lesions. Along with these symptoms can be muscle pain and twitching, anemia, enlarged spleen, liver impairment, and bone degeneration. Often misdiagnosed in children as Autism and as a psychiatric disorder (delusions of parasitosis) , the disease knows no boundaries. The neurological symptoms are described as confusion and “brain fog”.
Unique to this disease is the production, by the parasite, of clear, white, blue, or red fibers. These fibers range in size from microscopic to inches long. Although the reason for the fibers is still unknown, Dr. Schwartz, who has studied the disease for years, said “ Based on my patient reports, the fibers can pass through latex surgical gloves, which is potentially hazardous in surgical procedure,” he added,” I compare the parasite’s production of fibers in one of it’s life stages to that of a silk worm, it may be a form of cocoon development or inter-parasite communication and after seeing how the fiber production is sometimes associated with electronic-like phenomena, I believe the role of the fibers in nerve transmission needs to be investigated”.
How contagious is this disease? Dr. Schwartz answered, ”Transmission through families is common and people who inhabit a house or room in which the disease has been contracted are at risk. This should be disclosed in real estate sales and patients should avoid staying in hotels or motels.”
When asked about “ bioengineering”, Dr. Schwartz said, “ While it is a possibility, the disease will respond dramatically to intensive treatment and there can be effective management and cure in early cases”.
When asked about the origins of the disease, Dr. Schwartz said, “I believe the disease is either new or very old and has emerged possibly due to global warming. It could be like a plague of the Egyptians thousands of years ago.”
