Edgar of ‘24’ premieres film at the Staten Island Film Festival Bronx, New York -- June 19, 2007 -- Louis Lombardi captured the hearts and minds of America as Edgar Stiles on Fox Television’s hit series ‘24’ and season 2 of the Sopranos were Louis had a pivitol role in bringing down Pussy (Vincent Pastore). Now his latest feature film venture - DoughBoys will have its world premiere at the Staten Island Film Festival on June 23rd, 2007.
DoughBoys written by Lombardi also serves as Louis’s first starring role as well as his directorial debut. In addition, Louis is also the producer of the film along with up and coming New York based producer Frank Mosca of Harrington Talents. The film brings together many of Louis’ acting pals from his previous projects – Vincent Pastore, Mike Starr, Jimmy Maddio and Andrew Keegan. Vincent Pastore of Sopranos fame plays an important role in Doughboys as Louis’ father.
Louis Lombardi said, “I am honored to have been able to film in my hometown of the Bronx and working with local actors was great .Now, to have Doughboys premier in a New York festival is an even greater honor and I cannot even begin to express how proud I feel.”
DoughBoys is a drama that serves up the story of Lou (Louis Lombardi) and Frank (Gaetano Iacono), two Bronx brothers running the family bakery. Faced with Lou's gambling problem the shop is about to be taken from them by the neighborhood gangster. The fate of this local landmark hangs like a "pie in the sky". Will it be a sweet dream, or a nightmare?
