Social Business Network Ecademy.com founded in Pizza Express Farnham in February 1998 by Penny Power and now with over 300,000 monthly users has announced that it will support Google's new OpenSocial approach to social networking.
http://www.quantcast.com/ecademy.com Ecademy already has a live application (called a widget) working on Facebook called Ecademy Contacts allowing members to bring their contacts from Ecademy into Facebook and connect with them.
Ecademy Chief Technology Officer Julian Bond said:
Ecademy is already more open than just about any of the Social Networks in the world. We've got RSS, VCARD, FOAF, CSV, ICAL coming out of our ears. Google can see and index almost all the site. We support OpenID for login. We've got some microformats. We've got various APIs that mirror the Blogger and Twitter APis. We ping all the major ping servers. So it's clearly not a question of "Will we open up to Google OpenSocial?" It's a question of "How much more we open up?"."
Ecademy is a social network for business people.
