DYNAMIC PAINTING It sounds like science fiction but it’s real!
Canadian company San Base Studio Inc. introduces a new kind of design products as well as a new kind of Art – Dynamic Painting. Using the latest in computer technology, a still picture is transformed into a never-ending show that adds a whole new dimension to traditional art and design.
The Dynamic Painting can be considered a generative art - an art that has been generated algorithmically by a computer system. The artist creates the basic idea of the picture (plot, aesthetics), basic colors, basic principles of their development. Then a computer works on the picture's individuality, adding more variations and fluctuations to the basic elements and letting them develop with time. Images replace each other hour-by-hour, day-by-day, and month-by-month. The painting is always in the state of perpetual transformation. It never repeats itself. The dynamic painting acts upon the viewer by means of inducing associations, i.e. the viewer interprets the picture's subject on his own.
