February 19, 2010 (MMD Newswire) -- The red carpet was bustling Wednesday night with appearances by Dario Deak, Diandra Newlin and director Catherine Pirotta to support the new psychological thriller with a plot derived from actual experiments ran by Nazis during the Holocaust. Dick Dinman with DVD Classics Corner claims it has, "...a new kind of suspense and a new kind of star".

Starring Dario Deak with co-stars John Colton, Penny Drake, Kelly Chambers and guest appearances by Tyrone Power Jr. and John Savage with Stephane Mermet and Hollywood fixture Clyde Ware (also co-writer) as executive producers.

The plot takes the viewer on an intriguing journey as two doctors embark on a research project to cure fear-ridden, phobic patients of all varieties. Just as fame and honor creep into the lives of Doctor Marvin Stalberg (John Colton) and Doctor Nicholas Nemet (Dario Deak), a series of murders occurs among cured patients which mirror the victims' initial homicidal fears. The path to finding the actual culprit of the murders sparks other startling discoveries that not only stun the characters, but viewers as well.

The film is a reminder of common fears that are rarely discussed, yet constantly inhibit humans' daily lives, especially in the cynical, weary economic society we find ourselves in now. "I hope this reminds people that it is in our selves to overcome fear." - Dario Deak

"Tragedy lies in the denial and oblivion of fear's commanding effect. Yet if we don't control our fears, they will control us. How often do we suffer from fear of poverty, criticism or even love - especially in these murky economic times? It is these that are far more paralyzing to us than any spider or snake." -- Catherine Pirotta

Dreamkiller opens February 19th at select theaters in Los Angeles and other major cities.
